Dude. That ‘66 P-Bass? Yeah, it’s gotten under my skin, with its roughly hewn look and throaty, deep sound. This thing’s seen some serious play over its many years, but I can’t say I’ve felt a more solid instrument in a long time.

Hell, who wants a case queen anyway? Give me an old pro like this one any day!

Hey! Another old shot of a bass we loved comes back around the Tumblrsphere!

Hot damn, that thing was amazing.

Two vintage Jaguars we picked up this week. Both from ‘65, both refins, both immensely affordable! I freaking love this job.

A c.1964 Gibson ES-175 in fantastic shape despite its age. Bright, clean original finish, great tone from its patent sticker pickups and a really comfortable neck. Glorious!

She’s going to be staying with us over the course of a few weeks for some *slight* soundboard caving at the bridge (very common when an old guitar is kept at tension for a number of years) and straightening the end of the fretboard for maximum playability.

Still, with all of that going on it’s still an amazing instrument!
